Step by Step – How ‘Dreaming of Letter B’ Was Created

I thought you all might enjoy how ‘Dreaming of Letter B’ was created step by step. First of course, comes the quick outline sketch and then I typically start each painting with what I feel is the most challenging part of any portrait painting – the face / the body. Once I feel I have mastered that part of the painting – I then proceed to branch out to the rest – to finally relaxing with the background. I end by signing my name- and the masterpiece is now complete. :) Enjoy the step by step outline of how ‘Dreaming of Letter B’ was made:

Two Little Sailors

This is a commissioned Oil Painting for a dear friend of mine that I am working on. Her grandchildren who are currently 3.5 years old were diagnosed with a rare blood condition shortly after they were born. With a bone marrow transplant and lots of prayers, we are overjoyed to say that they are now completely healed and free of any trace of the ailment they were born with. :)
